Veneers and Dental crowns

A dental veneer is a very thin layer of porcelain that is bonded to the front of your existing tooth and is designed to cover the front surface of teeth to enhance your appearance. Veneers can fix chips, cracks, gaps between teeth, minor misalignments, and/or discoloration. They can be a simple and effective way to correct aesthetic dental problems, a branch of cosmetic dentistry. During the process, Dr. Hassanlou will cut and remove parts of the tooth, which is the enamel, before placing the veneer. Porcelain dental veneers can match the color of natural teeth and it's possible to make them whiter to brighten your smile.

A dental crown is the product of a restoration process that is typically made of porcelain, or metal, or both, and is placed and cemented on your existing tooth to strengthen the tooth while retaining its original appearance and is extremely durable. This technique also falls under the category of cosmetic dentistry. Over time, teeth can become damaged, worn, cracked, or even decayed. Dental crowns are essential for protecting and restoring a weak, cracked, and severely worn tooth and are a better alternative to large fillings where there is not much left of the original tooth. Most dental crowns are made directly at our clinic and can be placed on the same day!

Full mouth rehabilitation

Full Mouth Rehabilitation, also known as Full Mouth Reconstruction or Full Mouth Restoration, is a comprehensive treatment approach designed to correct a wide range of complex oral health problems and restore both function and aesthetics to the teeth and gums.

This type of rehabilitation often involves multiple phases and various dental procedures, which can include some or all of the following, depending on the patient's individual needs:

  • Prosthodontic treatments like crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, and onlays

  • Periodontal treatments like scaling and root planing, gum grafting or other surgeries to treat gum disease

  • Endodontic treatments like root canal therapy

  • Orthodontic treatments to correct alignment and bite issues, like braces or clear aligners

  • Oral surgery procedures like tooth extractions, dental implants, bone or soft tissue grafting

  • Restorative treatments like fillings, dental implants, or dentures

  • Cosmetic dentistry procedures to improve the appearance of the teeth, like teeth whitening or bonding

  • Treatment for TMJ disorders

  • And others

The aim of Full Mouth Rehabilitation is not only to improve the appearance of the patient's mouth but also to correct functional issues like chewing and biting, align the jaw properly, and enhance overall oral health. The process is highly individualized, considering factors like the health of the oral tissues, the patient's bite, the degree of decay or damage, loss of tooth structure, tooth color, tooth size, and overall aesthetic goals.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation can be a lengthy process, taking many months or even a couple of years to complete, but the results can be transformative, improving quality of life, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

Gum contouring

Is a surgical procedure where gum tissue is removed or added depending on the patient’s needs. Gum contouring can sometimes be considered a cosmetic procedure as most people have their gums reshaped to improve the appearance of their smile. However, some people undergo gum contouring surgery as part of other necessary periodontal (gum) procedures, such as pocket reduction, crown lengthening and regenerative procedures where gum tissue is restored after it has receded and is now exposing too much of your teeth.

Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening at MHarmony Dental Center can be done in two ways: chairside at the clinic or at home. The two whitening options use peroxide-based bleaching agents. At-home agents can contain from 3% to 20% peroxide (carbamide or hydrogen peroxides). In-office agents contain from 15% to 43% peroxide. The stronger the solution on your teeth, the whiter your teeth become and the shorter it should be applied to the teeth. Keeping the gel on longer will eventually dehydrate the tooth and increase sensitivity. Whitening done at the office is more efficient and your teeth get brighter faster as the bleaching agent is usually much stronger than at-home kits.

Chairside bleaching usually requires two 90 minutes appointments or or less. During the first appointment we take impressions of your teeth in order to create custom-made trays for you so that you can apply retouches with a limited quantity retouch kit that we provide. The dentist will then proceed to apply a protective gel to isolate your gums and then bleach is applied to the teeth.

At home bleaching follows the same principle however this time Dr. Hassanlou will give you instructions on how to place the bleaching solution in the tray and for what length of time so that you do the bleaching process yourself.

Invisalign treatment

It is a type of orthodontic treatment where a series of clear trays are worn by the patient to improve teeth alignment and smile. These clear braces are different from the conventional braces as they are made from plastic rather than metal and do not require any sort of elastics.

These aligners are changed every one to two weeks depending on Dr Hassanlou’s recommendation until the correct and final position has been achieved. The trays are also removable which can be more convenient however it is always recommended to wear them at least 20-22 hours a day for better, quicker and more accurate results. The length of the treatment varies from patient to patient but can range anywhere from 6-18 months.
